President’s Chief Adviser Akbar Torkan on Saturday criticized those officials in the previous administration who have not yet handed over state-owned properties, warning them of prosecution if they refuse to do so, Eghtesad News reported. “Unfortunately, some of the ex-government officials have shown little interest to hand over state-owned properties, but as far as I know, they will be prosecuted in the court of law,” Torkan said. Government officials have filed a lawsuit against some ex-officials due to their “negligence to concede state-owned properties.” According to Torkan, the officials have yet to hand over many vehicles and buildings to the government since President Hassan Rouhani took office a year ago.
