Exports to Germany Fall, Imports Rise

Iran exported more than 23,000 tons of non-oil goods worth $152 million to Germany during the seven months ending October 21, registering a 1.5% decrease in value compared with last year’s corresponding period. Pistachios, carpets, caviar, saffron and dates were among the main exported commodities, Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration reported. More than 683,000 tons of goods valued at $1.3 billion were imported from the European country to Iran during the same period, which indicates a 25% rise year-on-year. Imports mainly included industrial machinery, grain, pharmaceuticals and steel products.
