A 10-year-old medium-range Airbus 321 aircraft was recently delivered to Kish Airlines. Citing the company’s public relations, ILNA did not specify the source of its purchase. The twin-engine narrow-body plane reportedly operated its maiden flight from Kish to Mashhad (no date was mentioned). It is scheduled to fly for two weeks on domestic routes and will then be used for international flights to and from the airports of Kish and Mashhad, as well as Imam Khomeini International Airport. Kish Airlines purchased two other Airbus planes in March. The deliveries are part of the carrier’s plans to add 10 planes in the current Iranian year (March 2016-17).
