Iran and Australia have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation in the aviation sector. The MoU was signed in Australia on Wednesday between Iran Civil Aviation Organization, affiliated with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and Australian Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, IRNA reported. According to the MoU, the two sides have agreed to increase the number of direct flights to and from the Australian cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth as well as the Iranian cities of Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz and Isfahan. They have also agreed to increase the use of their carriers in each other’s airspace.
