Fourfold Hike in Iran's Exports to S. Korea

Iran exported 4.2 million tons of non-oil goods worth $2.1 billion to South Korea during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20). The export value for last year’s corresponding period stood at only $57 million. Gas condensates, petrochemicals, zinc, lead, aluminum, bitumen, stones, vegetable seeds and pistachios were among the main exported commodities, Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration reported. More than 698,200 tons of goods valued at $1.6 billion were imported from the East Asian country to Iran during the same six-month period, registering a 15% decline. The imports mainly included vehicles, POS card payment machines, steel products, cellphones, air conditioners, auto parts and computer displays.
