The First Iranian Consumer Summit 2016 has been scheduled to be held in London on November 23.

The event is being organized by New Sparta Events and sponsored by Sturgeon Capital.

Launched in 2015, New Sparta Events organizes a variety of events, including debates, roundtables and conferences, with a key focus on investment opportunities in emerging markets, a notice posted on New Sparta Events’ website reported.

Sturgeon is an open-end fund incorporated in Luxembourg and based in the UK. The fund seeks to deliver capital and income appreciation through investments, both long and short, in equity securities and global depositary receipts traded on regulated markets of companies in Central Asia.

The First Iranian Consumer Summit 2016 will provide a unique opportunity to examine the consumer market in Iran and learn valuable lessons from those already operating and investing there. It will discuss the best ways and models to enter the market, learn how to optimize international financial transactions, evaluate legal and business risks as well as to assess consumer culture.

The summit will provide practical knowhow on more detailed issues surrounding operations, distribution, human resources, legal and marketing. The audience will also hear about the process of local Iranian companies’ selection for partnering, conducting due diligence and KYC procedures for ensuring long-term reliable and trustful relationships. The summit will provide a networking platform for foreign investors and corporations, both those who only now are looking to enter Iran but also those who already are operating there, as well as local Iranian manufacturing companies, distributers, legal and advisory firms.

Keynote speakers include Michael Tockuss, the head of German-Iranian Chamber of Commerce; Lucy Haine, international territory controller for Asia at Debenhams; Clemente Cappello, CIO, Sturgeon Capital; Mohsen Tavakol, president and CEO, Ericsson Systems & Services; Ima Mehmanesh, product manager at Novonordisk; Neil Wynn-Jones, luxury and retail sector specialist, E-Commerce & Consumer Directorate of UK Trade & Investment; and Soheil Zeinali, managing director of Scandinavian and Iranian Chamber of Commerce.
