Boeing Seeks License Extension

If nuclear negotiations between Iran and the six world powers known as the P5+1 are finalized by November 24 deadline, Boeing Company will seek an extension from the US government to sell airplane parts to the Islamic Republic, as Zawya reported. “We are very supportive of operating within the guidelines and if we can get the license extended in support of our customers then we would plan to do that,” said Marty A. Bentrott, the senior vice president for international sales at Boeing , on the sidelines of the Arab Air Carriers Organization’s annual general meeting held in Dubai on November 18-20. Last month, Boeing ended a 35-year break in doing business with Iran and sold $120,000 worth of technical data to Iran Air. However, the sale did not include plane parts.
