Trade between Iran and Russia may soon increase from the current $1.7 billion to $3 billion, Alexei Pushkov, the chairman of the International Committee of the Russian State Duma’s lower parliament house announced on Thursday. “Trade between Russia and Iran is not as big as it could be. Now it is about $1.7 billion. Some experts say it can be increased to $3 billion in the next few years,” Pushkov said. The Russian official added that the two sides are currently discussing an “oil-for-goods” deal.
