An Iran-Thailand Business Forum was held in Bangkok on Saturday. Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, the head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Masoud Soltanifar, and the head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Gholamhossein Shafei, were among keynote speakers. “The targeted $5-10 billion trade between the two countries is not a farfetched goal,” Shafei was quoted as saying by ICCIMA’s news website Otaghiranonline.ir. Bilateral trade reached $400 million in the last Iranian year (March 2015-16), posting a 7% rise over the previous year, according to Islamic Republic of Iran’s Customs Administration.
