More than 71.27 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20). According to a Mehr New Agency report, which cited the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news portal, over 45.7 million tons of the throughput was non-oil commodities while 25.5 million tons were oil products. The country’s ports handled a total of 11.21 million tons of cargo in the month ending September 21, about 7.3 million tons of which were non-oil products while the remaining 3.75 million tons were oil products.
