Chinese Agro Deals, Forum Scheduled

Iran’s Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati and his visiting Chinese counterpart Han Changfu are scheduled to sign two memorandums of understanding on Sunday for cooperation in the fields of veterinary-livestock quarantine and fisheries. The same day, the two officials are to attend a joint economic forum, in which the private sector players of their respective countries will explore areas of mutual cooperation in the agricultural sector. This is the Chinese minister’s first visit to Iran, Mehr News Agency reported. Han and his accompanying delegation will visit agricultural projects in Isfahan and meet with Isfahan’s Governor General Rasoul Zargarpour during their four-day stay.
