Three international exhibitions opened in Tehran’s International Permanent Fairground on Tuesday. The 15th edition of Iran International Confectionery Fair was inaugurated by Deputy Industries Minister Mohsen Salehinia, IRNA reported. “Iran has exported around $210 million worth of confectionery in the five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21),” the official said on the sidelines of the event. As many as 361 domestic and 85 foreign companies from 22 countries are participating in the exhibition, which will run through September 15. The Seventh International Exhibition of Beverages, Tea, Coffee and Related Industries was inaugurated on Tuesday by Deputy Industries Minister Hossein Esfahbodi and the head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Masoud Khansari. Ten firms from the UAE, Indonesia, Italy, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Denmark, Colombia and South Korea, as well as 80 Iranian companies are participating in the five-day event (until September 17).
