‘Iran Agro Tech 2016’ has been scheduled for December 6 in Tehran. Iranian and foreign companies will be showcasing their latest products, including organic produce, herbs, fertilizers, pesticides and agricultural machinery, at the at the four-day event, Mehr News Agency reported. The agriculture sector is one of the main contributors to Iran’s economy. The sector helped Iran from falling back into recession last fiscal year (ended March 20) with a 5.4% rise in output. According to the Agriculture Ministry, it is estimated that production will reach 117 million tons by the end of the fiscal year that ends in March 2017.
