Hike in Exports From Hormozgan

More than 17.5 million tons of non-oil goods worth over $4.24 billion were exported from Hormozgan Province during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 20), registering a 57% rise in weight and 83% increase in value compared to last year’s corresponding period. The exports mainly included cement, gypsum and coal to UAE, China, India and Turkey, IRNA reported. Meanwhile, close to 3.7 million tons of goods worth more than $6.37 billion were imported to the southern Iranian province over the same period, indicating a 1% decline in weight and a 28% fall in value. Hormozgan has 1,000 kilometers of coastline from the Persian Gulf to its southwest facing the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain, and to the Sea of Oman to its southeast facing the Sultanate of Oman.
