Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh appointed his deputy Mojtaba Khosrotaj as the new president of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran after Valiollah Afkhamirad resigend on Tuesday. Khosrotaj is the ministry’s former spokesperson as well as the government’s representative to the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. Afkhamirad served as TPO president since September 2013, Mehr News Agency reported. The TPO, affiliated to the Industries, Mining and Trade, is in charge of promoting non-oil exports and supporting the business community in Iran. It also has close ties to the Iranian National Standards Organization.
