Surplus in Trade With Iraq

Iran exported 4,800 tons of non-oil goods worth $1.9 billion to Iraq during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21), registering a 3.6% decline compared to the similar period a year before. The main exports included chemicals, air conditioners, tiles, petrochemicals, cement, urea, fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration reported. Meanwhile, more than 7,600 tons of goods worth $13.2 million were imported from the neighboring country, which shows a 40% drop year-on-year. Aluminum, air conditioners, industrial parts, machinery, razor blades and dairy product were among the main imports.
