Iran’s flagship carrier, Iran Air, has seized the opportunity provided by the historic interim agreement signed by Iran and the P5+1 countries last November, and successfully purchased new airline equipment and plane parts from foreign companies, Iran Air’s managing director Farhad Parvaresh told ISNA on Saturday. The ongoing nuclear negotiations have allowed the company to purchase the parts – for the first time in 30 years – from the American airplane manufacturer Boeing. Through a historic deal, the American company provided Iran Air with technical manuals, navigation charts and construction data for the airline’s ageing fleet, Parvaresh added.
