Turkey’s Izmir Hosts Iran Business Forum

The Turkish city of Izmir hosted a forum on Tuesday where dozens of Iranian and Turkish business owners discussed trade opportunities in post-sanctions Iran.  President of the Executive Board of Izmir Chamber of Commerce Ekrem Demirtas, Iran’s Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian and commercial attache to Turkey, Hamid Zadboum, participated in the forum, IRNA reported. Noting that Turkish companies are keen on boosting their presence in the Iranian market, Demirtas said, “The Aegean Region is one of the most important industrial areas of Turkey. The cities located in this region including, but not limited to, Izmir, Aydin and Usak, can easily meet all of Iran’s import needs.”
