Close to 2,500 tons of cutlassfish worth $64.5 million were exported from Iran in the last fiscal year (March 2015-16), which indicates a 30% increase compared to the previous year, according to the general manager of Hormozgan Fisheries Organization. “The fish is not eaten in Iran and is exported to southeast Asian countries, including China, South Korea, Japan and Thailand,” IRNA also quoted Parviz Mohebbi as saying.
