Iran exported 256 tons of goods worth 308.71 billion rials ($8.81 million at market exchange rate) to the United States during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2016), the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics showed.  The export value is 80 times more than what was registered for last year’s corresponding period, ISNA reported.  Main exported commodities included wool carpet, cucumber, jam, marmalade and jelly, dried vegetable, tomato paste and biscuits.   Imports from the US, including diet supplements, wood pulp and feed additives, stood at 427.1 billion rials ($12.19 million) for the same period, indicating a 50% decline.
