Deputy Transport Minister Ali Nourzad says 1,500 kilometers of under-construction roads across the country will be completed by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2017). “Currently, 30,000 kilometers of roads are being built through 119 projects,” the official was quoted as saying by IRNA. The government has allocated a 64,000-billion-rial ($2.11 billion at official exchange rate) budget for the expansion and renovation of the country’s roads in the current Iranian year.
