246KT of Watermelon Exported in 3 Months

About 246,000 tons of watermelon worth over $36 million were exported from Iran during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-May 20), which shows a decline of 0.8% and 27% in volume and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration. The main export destinations for Iranian watermelons were Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, Kuwait and Afghanistan, ISNA reported.
