Iran and China are going to launch a joint industrial town in the southern city of Jask, Governor-General of Hormozgan Province, Jasem Jadari, said on Tuesday.“The town, in which the petrochemical steel and aluminum companies are to be based will be shared by Chinese and Iranian companies,” Jadari was quoted by IRNA as saying.He said that the Jask port will be soon turned into a special economic zone as it was promised by the president during his trip to the province.He further said, “The government aims to implement the plan as soon as possible. Many investors have so far shown interest to take part in the project.” Jask is a port city in the southern province of Hormozgan, and is situated on the Gulf of Oman.
