Q1 Port Activity Up 15%

Iranian ports handled more than 36.6 million tons of freight during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2016), which indicates a 15.1% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year, according to Ports and Maritime Organization. Oil (13.2 million tons) and non-oil products (23.4 million tons) registered about 21.9% and 11.6% rise respectively in the period, Tasnim News Agency reported.
