To promote dairy exports, the government plans to provide exporters with incentives worth an aggregate of 2,000 billion rials ($57.82 million at market exchange rate), said a deputy agriculture minister. “Around 1,500 billion rials ($43.36 million) of the total incentives will be allocated to active dairy exporters and the rest will go to the Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives of Iran to purchase livestock farmers’ surplus milk production,” Hassan Rokni was also quoted as saying by ISNA. As part of an agreement between the organization and dairy industries, the purchased milk will be then converted into milk powder for exports.  According to Rokni, more than 600,000 tons of dairy products were exported to 30 countries in the last Iranian year (March 2015-16).
