Port Activities Increase

More than 12.8 million tons of freight were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports during the second month of the current Iranian year (started April 20), which indicates a 17.7% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year. Non-oil products account for 8.2 million tons of the total figure, IRNA reported. Close to 373,600 tons of oil products were imported during the same period. The export of these products stood at 2.3 million tons, indicating a 163.5% rise compared to last year’s corresponding month. Non-oil imports and exports exceeded 2.4 million tons and 4.5 million tons respectively.
