Turkmenistan will host Iran’s third exclusive trade exhibition titled “Iran Project 2016”, which will be held in the capital Ashgabat on August 18-20. The exhibition will cover wide-ranging sectors of oil, gas, petrochemicals, water and electricity, construction, food, agriculture, medical equipment, auto, rail transportation, tourism, insurance and banking, according to its organizer, Hassan Mortaji, IRNA reported. “The event is being organized with the aim of helping facilitate trade for the businesspeople of Iran and Turkmenistan,” he said. Mortaji added that Iran seeks to overtake Turkey in the Turkmen market. Tehran and Ashgabat are working to increase their current bilateral trade value of around $4 billion to $60 billion within a decade.
