Transport Minister in Ashgabat

Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi arrived in Turkmenistan's capital city of Ashgabat on Monday at the head of a politico-economic delegation to meet officials of the neighboring country and discuss trade and political issues of mutual interest.
Soon after his arrival, the minister met Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He was also due to meet Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow who last visited Iran in early May. Iran-Turkmenistan trade exceeded $3.7 billion in 2014.
