About 3.65 million people are working in Tehran while 13 provinces have a total of 3.37 million employees. The provinces include Yazd, Semnan, Zanjan, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari, Bushehr, Ilam, Hormozgan, Qazvin, Qom, Markazi and Ardabil, Mehr News Agency reported. Currently, 26 Iranian provinces have fewer than one million employees and only five provinces have a labor market each with more than one million jobs. Khorasan Razavi and Isfahan provinces have the biggest workforce after Tehran with 1.8 million and 1.48 million respectively. Kohgilouyeh-Boyerahmad has the lowest number of workers with 137,000 jobs; in other words, those living in Tehran have 26.5 times more chances of landing a job than those in Kohgilouyeh-Boyerahmad.
