The government will allocate 9,490 billion rials (over $270 million) to 49 major projects in West Azarbaijan Province over the next two years, the head of Management and Planning Organization said. Mohammad Baqer Nobakht added that the allocation would considerably stimulate the development of this northwestern Iranian province. “Ten major urban development projects, two macro projects in agriculture sector, four scientific and tourism enterprises, five water schemes, 11 sports programs and 11 health and medical plans will be the recipient of the fund,” IRNA quoted him as saying.
