Iran Shrimp 2016 convened in Tehran on Thursday with representatives of 13 countries, namely Iran China, Malaysia, Thailand, France, Indonesia, South Korea, Australia, India, Panama, Vietnam, Germany and Canada. Iran’s head of Fisheries Organization, Hassan Salehi, attended the event. The state of shrimp fishery and its challenges, strategies to develop this industry, problems associated with exports and methods of attracting foreign investment were central themes of the one-day event, IRNA reported.
