About 45,000 tons of different commodities worth $43 million have been exported from Razi border customs through rail and land transport to European and Asian countries in the past seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21- October 22). The number showed 40 percent rise as compared to the same period last year, Hossein Sivani, the governor of the northwestern city of Khoy, told reporters on Saturday. Minerals, fruit concentrates, tomato paste, insulation and industrial salts were the main commodities exported from Khoy to Italy, Germany, Iraq, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the official said. Razi border is the third official Iranian border point with Turkey. It is also the only railway border point Iran shares with Turkey, making it one of Iran’s trade gateways to Europe.
