Indian Delegation in Alborz Province

A 17-member commercial delegation from India entered Alborz Province on Sunday to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation with their Iranian counterparts. “The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding for expansion of investment and commercial ties, as well as economic, scientific and technological cooperation,” Hassan Khani, the deputy head of Alborz Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, said. The visiting delegation comprised representatives of Indian businesspeople and economic players in the fields of textile, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, logistics and agricultural equipment and products, among others, Mehr News Agency reported. Delegations from Ukraine, Bosnia, Italy, France, Croatia, Estonia, Poland, Portugal and Thailand also recently visited Alborz Province located in the vicinity of the Iranian capital. Close to 3,500 production units are active in the province, making it a major industrial hub in the country.
