Pakistani rice exporters have booked new orders to export around 30,000 tons of rice to Iran after a gap of more than six years, Chairman of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique has announced.
“But there is still a problem of currency swap arrangements with Iranian banks,” he was quoted as saying by Pakistani newspaper The Nation on Saturday. Shafique made the statements following a weeklong visit to Tehran and Mashhad along with a delegation of Pakistani exporters.
