A 17-member economic and commercial delegation from Poland is scheduled to visit Alborz Province on Monday to survey possibilities of bilateral economic cooperation, according to Masoud Qasemi, secretary-general of Alborz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. The Polish delegation comprises officials and representatives of companies active in a wide range of fields, including agricultural, solar energy, mining and paper production machinery, telecommunications, information technology and architecture. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Iran and Poland back in February. Among the aims pursued in the MoU are expansion of economic and commercial ties between members of the two countries’ respective chambers of commerce and entrepreneurs, and discussions pertaining to foreign trade and investment regulations. Delegations from Ukraine, Bosnia, Italy, France, Croatia, Estonia, Portugal and Taiwan have recently paid visits to Alborz.  With close to 3,500 production units operating in it, the province is considered one of Iran’s main industrial hubs.
