Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has set out cooperation priorities with five countries in Asia and Europe, namely China, Germany, Austria, Denmark and Portugal.

This follows the new economic climate emerging after the January lifting of sanctions against the Islamic Republic as part of the nuclear deal it reached with world powers last year.  The guideline comes amid the influx of foreign delegations keen on taking advantage of opportunities as a result of the country opening up to the world economy.

 China

Considering the cooperation priorities introduced by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, China and Iran can join hands in sectors such as agriculture (imports of needed products), services (logistics, tourism and banking), metals and fabricated metal products, cellulose, textile, electricity and electronics, industrial machinery and equipment.

 Germany

Iran gives priority to cooperation with Germany in the fields of metals and fabricated metal products, non-metallic minerals, pharmaceuticals, textile, electricity and electronics, metals, medical equipment, home appliances and automobiles.

 Austria

Petrochemicals, chemical and cellulose products, pharmaceuticals, textile and clothing are favorable areas of cooperation between Tehran and Vienna.

 Denmark

Iran and Denmark can work together in the fields of mineral products, cellulose, food, pharmaceuticals, clothing, and machinery and transportation equipment.

 Portugal

Iran can cooperate with Portugal in sectors like non-metallic minerals, cellulose, textile and clothing, automobiles, metals and metal products, food, electricity and electronics.
