Imports of copper and non-copper wires will be subject to a 20% tariff rate in the current Iranian year (started March 20), according to Hossein Haqbayan, an official with the Wire and Cable Producers Association. Last year’s tariff rate stood at 15%, ISNA reported. The official added that the domestic wire industry is now self-sufficient.
