Non-oil exports from East Azarbaijan Province amounted to $2 billion in the last Iranian year (ended March 19, 2016), the deputy head of the northwestern province’s industries, mining and trade organization. “Our main exports were industrial and agricultural products and metals dispatched to 97 countries,” Gholamali Rasti was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency. Rasti added that during the same period, close to $1.1 billion worth of goods were imported into the province.
