Head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Mohsen Jalalpour is in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia to push forward the proposed Iran-Bulgaria transit corridor. “China, India and many countries around Iran could be connected to Europe through this corridor,” Jalalpour was quoted as saying by IRNA in a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Tsvetan Simeonov, on Friday. The corridor, which starts from Iran to pass through Azerbaijan/Armenia, Georgia and Bulgaria, was the main topic of discussion during a visit by Bulgarian Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski and his accompanying 69-strong delegation in Tehran in early March. Jalalpour arrived in Sofia on Friday to meet Bulgarian officials and businesspeople during a three-day visit.
