The head of the Kenyan Senate’s Foreign Policy Commission and his accompanying delegation visited the Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO) production site, getting a chance to know the company’s activities and products, IKCO News website reported on Saturday. Mohamed Yusuf Haji stated that his country lacked a domestic auto industry and asked for the production of IKCO cars in Kenya. In the meantime, he described IKCO as an influential company and Iran as a country with the capability to produce quality cars for both domestic and global markets. “Considering the advanced technology acquired by the IKCO engineers, the production platforms are quite sound and the company can improve its production process even further,” the Kenyan official said.
