Iran’s exports to the UAE in the last Iranian year (March 2015-16) increased by more than 21% compared to the previous year to reach $4.9 billion. The figure accounts for 13.8% of Iran’s total export value, making the Arab country Iran’s third biggest export destination, ISNA reported The main export commodities include raw minerals, oil and gas derivatives, petroleum and liquefied hydrocarbon gases, polyethylene, light oils, bitumen and hydrocarbons, as well as non-alloyed and semi-finished iron or steel products. The UAE is one of Iran’s main gateways for foreign trade.
