Egg Exports to Reach 90,000 Tons

Egg exports will reach 90,000 tons by the end of the current Iranian year (March 19), says the secretary-general of Iran’s Egg Producers’ Association. “As we speak, 350 tons of eggs are being exported daily,” Farzad Talakesh said, putting Iran’s egg production in the current year at around 930,000 tons. “We plan to reduce the [production] figure by 30,000 tons for the next year [since it’s in excess of domestic need],” Mehr News Agency quoted Talakesh as saying.
