Iranian airline Zagros has reached preliminary agreements with Brazilian plane manufacturer Embraer for the purchase of 20 135-seat passenger planes, according to the carrier’s CEO, Houshang Sadiq. “Lately, we have held negotiations with several international companies for importing new planes. One of them was Brazil’s Embraer and luckily talks with them have yielded favorable results,” ISNA quoted Sadiq as saying on Monday. Reuters had earlier quoted “a Brazilian presidential aide with knowledge of the negotiations” as saying that Iran is interested in buying 50 airliners from the planemaker.
