Tehran, Kiev Sign Cooperation Agreement

A comprehensive agreement of cooperation was signed on Monday by Iran’s Minister of Agricultural Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati and visiting Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Zubko during the fifth joint economic commission of the two countries in the fields of investment, agriculture, oil and gas and banking. “Iran and Ukraine have a vast capacity for interaction in trade, energy, industry, agriculture and transportation. After the lifting of sanctions, we are optimistic toward a fruitful cooperation between the two countries,” Hojjati was quoted as saying by IRNA. Western sanctions against Iran were ended on Jan. 16 after the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that the Islamic Republic limited the scope of its nuclear program.
