Montenegro is ready to establish trade and business ties with the Islamic Republic, vice president of Chamber of Economy of Montenegro said.  During a meeting between Iran’s Ambassador to Montenegro Majid Fahimpour in Podgorica on Tuesday, Saveljic pointed to the two countries’ trade potential and cooperation in tourism and energy sectors. Saveljic said Podgorica intends to dispatch business delegations to Tehran, IRNA reported.  The Iranian official welcomed the prospect of closer ties between the two countries and said Iran can use transportation capabilities of the Port of Bar, Montenegro’s main port located in a coastal town in the south of the country.  Classified by the World Bank as an upper middle-income country, Montenegro is surrounded by Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia and Albania to the south and a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the southwest.
