An exclusive summit will be held in London on March 9 to examine the opportunities and challenges surrounding Iran’s reintegration into the global economy. “Bringing the political and commercial leadership of Iran together with major international investors, corporations and civil society organizations, the summit will explore Iran’s potential as an economic powerhouse as well as the political, geopolitical and cultural forces shaping its future,” reads a statement by Financial Times Live, the global conferences and events division of the Financial Times Group sponsoring the event, as reported by its website live.ft.com. Head of Iran’s Presidential Office and Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Central Bank of Iran Peyman Qorbani, CEO of Tehran Stock Exchange Hassan Qalibaf-Asl, Deputy Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade and Chairman of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization Mehdi Karbasian, UK Trade Envoy to Iran and Chairman of British-Iranian Chamber of Commerce Lord Lamont of Lerwick and member of the British Parliament and president of the Board of Trade and UK Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Sajid Javid, are among the keynote speakers of the event.
