Livestock Exports Up

Iran has exported 45,700 tons of livestock in the current Iranian year (to end March 19, 2016), showing a 48% increase compared to last year, said an official with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade. According to Mosayyeb Mohammadian Shomali, sheep and goats accounted for 80% of livestock exports, ISNA reported. Iran’s Customs Administration eliminated the 60% tariff to facilitate livestock exports and spur growth in the sector.
