Fruits and meat products needed during the Iranian New Year holidays (starting March 20) have already been stockpiled and the government will face no shortage in this regard. “Fruit production in the current Iranian year (to end March 19, 2016), has been satisfactory and amounts to 16 million tons. Therefore, we are prepared to supply fruit to all provinces and target markets,” IRNA quoted Mehdi Kazemnejad, an official with the Agricultural Jihad Ministry, as saying. Kazemnejad added that the price and quality of the products will be monitored in the distribution centers selected for the purpose.
