Tehran and Kabul have agreed to hold the fifth session of their joint economic commission after the Iranian elections, says Afghan Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah. The upcoming joint commission meeting is aimed at reviewing the finalization of comprehensive agreements between the two states, Afghan business news portal Wadsam reported. Iran is holding parliamentary and Assembly of Expert elections on February 26. Abdullah paid a visit to Iran early January and met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top Iranian officials, including President Hassan Rouhani and Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli. About his Tehran visit, Abdullah said the two sides also agreed to pursue expansion of all-out relations.
