Iran Breaks Ground on €200m Tire Plant

Iran has broken ground on a €200-million radial tire plant in the western city of Sanandaj, Kurdestan Province. The opening ceremony, held concurrent with Iran’s 10-Day Dawn celebration of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, was attended by Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and the head of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization, Reza Norouz-Zadeh. IDRO has a 19% share in the project, while the rest is owned by Razi Industrial Group.
